What Video Game Character Are You? I am a Defender-ship.hmm....so i guess...I am a Defender-ship.

I am fiercely protective of my friends and loved ones, and unforgiving of any who would hurt them. Speed and foresight are my strengths, at the cost of a little clumsiness. I'm most comfortable with a few friends, but sometimes particularly enjoy spending time in larger groups. What Video Game Character Are You?

I still remember those halcyon days when I would enter a trancelike state for hours in front of my tin can of a computer, playing Scorch or Prince of Persia or Lost Vikings....it's sad to think how reliant i am upon graphic quality when it comes to forming an opinion on video games nowadays...(so says sil the final fantasy freek)

Blogger makes me look dumb! Aagh!

Anyway... life chugs on. School's getting almost to the end, although other people are in finals now in other colleges with more sane schedules. Do I hate trimesters? Not really. I just wish that we didn't get out so freakin' late.

Someone opened up my head a wrote down what I feel, all the time, in Borders or Barnes and Noble. Wow. Sometimes I joke with my friends who are English majors that they'll be stuck writing these blurbs if things don't work out for the best. :-)

Promises broken...

So, we were supposed to do publicity for the improv group today at the school's central publicity spot. The rule is that you need to guard the Rock the entire day and then paint it at night. Then it stays up the next day... until someone else claims it. A nice, fair system. Rewards fanaticism.

And lo, there was a fanatic there today when I got there in the morning to guard. She has a tent made of blue tarp, a sleeping bag, her books. No shower, but from the looks of her dreads... I'm not sure if that's a problem. Anyway, I took one look and realized that this was no ordinary guarder who might have to ditch and let us claim the Rock... No, she'd go to the death. She's here all week, folks.

I've since made the decision to call things off, but I'm kinda depressed. Freshman year, we were those fanatics. We'd stay up, or get up early (5:00 AM) to guard the Rock, put up posters, etc. I guess I've just gotten old and weary.

I've got a new publicity idea anyway. :-)

Haven't been on here much (sorry). Promise to be better in the future. Hey, I'm better than Sil at posting, so... yeah!

I just put up the strip for today. Late enough to have missed most of the readers who usually read us. We're working on this whole content delivery thing, promise.

Anyway, there's some big news brewing but I'm gonna leave you all in suspense on that.

And some other news too... Sil and I finally finally sent in the lease for our apartment next year! Yay! So no more worrying about living in a cardboard box or in the dorms again. I'm so happy. The unit's really nice. It's a 2 bedroom, 2 story place. How cool is that? Very. Very.

While a part of me is going to miss having my bathroom cleaned for me and the generally unlimited use of electricity/internet access, I think that having to be responsible for these things next year will ultimately make me a better person.

Plus, it's much closer to my classes than my dorm right now. Pluses all around.

And I'm gonna have the best roomie ever.

I caved in and bought the Magnetic Fields box set yesterday. 69 Songs About Love. It's 3 cd's (23 songs each, as I told my sister). And with the Manu Chao CD that my friend Kate sent me as an Xmas/Valentine's/Anything else present, I have made my CD player full of completely inaccessible by casual listeners music. I love that. :-)
Why did I cave? Because it was the nicest day ever and I wanted to get out of the room. Also, I found out that I had more cash than previously tallied. How much? A substantial amount. Anyway, that's that. Last wishlist item to get (last item within range...) is Black and White...

I saw Hannibal last night. I know, I know, pretty late. I was sort of waiting until I finished the book but since I never started the book, I decided I might as well just see the movie. I don't think it was better than Silence of the Lambs but I don't think that you can really compare the two beyond that sort of blanket judgement. I know that I haven't seen SoL in at least 6 years and I probably was a lot different at 14 than I am now. Not taller, but different.

I jacked up the difficulty on the MGS2 demo and hey! They switched around which doors are locked (well one door so far) so it's a little bit harder. Anyway, how cool is that? I got waxed quite easily when cornered with three guards.
