So, my first NaNoWriMo novel is completed. "Wait," you say, "It says December 6th up there!" I did finish in time (two hours to go, actually) but I have been lazy about posting because, um, yeah, I'm lazy.
I'm pretty happy with how the beginning turned out, less happy about the middle and alternately glad/mad with the ending which is rushed but also has some cool thematic bits which go together pretty well.
Obviously editing is in order since I caught a huge plot hole as I was posting that I rushed to fix (lopping out 200 words!) I don't think that anything in here is really publishable, without major work but I think that writing about me (Brad) got a lot of things out that would just hinder future work (which I hope will one day get published).
I had monstrous amounts of fun this month and the stress was worth it. I'm not sure how I would've done had I had to work a fulltime job as well as write but I guess I'll find out next November.
I want to thank Sil for getting me into this and El and my sister for getting me out.
Final word count is 50,081 words and about 176 double spaced typed pages. I'm really proud for finishing and I hope that you enjoy reading it, if you dare.
